First, no private information is required in order to use Roadtrip. In the vast majority of cases, we know nothing private about you.

Licence Plate Data

When you input your Licence plate into Roadtrip, we never store this information on our servers. Your device sends a request directly to https://rightcar.govt.nz which is a New Zealand government database.

The Rightcar website sends back the information about your car type directly to your device, it never passes through our servers, which means we never see your Licence plate information.

Each licence plate is stored in the app locally on your device, so it's easy for you and only you to access in the future.

Location Data

If you chose to use location services as an origin or destination for your trip, this data is never sent to our servers, it remains on your device so we can't see where you are.

Roadtrip collects nothing related to ads.
